Maximum height of the route:

2,585 meters

Brief description:

Interesting circular route that leaving Ribes de Freser goes up a good track to the Collada de Pardines. At this point the track is left and the ascent to the Balandrau first begins following the traces of an old track that first skirts the top of Puig Cerverís, follows the back of the Sierra de la Canya to the wide hill of the same name where the few traces that are left of the track. In the last section of the ascent, there are steep slopes with a considerable slope. The summit of Balandrau, which offers great panoramas, is no longer problematic. Followed by a good and marked path down to the Coll dels Tres Pics from where by a path that descends through the middle of the meadows it loses altitude quickly to go to find the bottom of the valley to run the river Freser that has been born not too far from this place. On the other side is the refuge of Coma de Vaca which is accessed by a somewhat precarious pass. So far the route has been cyclable to 100%. The return we have made the path that descends following the valley of the River Freser. It is a very unrecommendable way to make it with BTT since it is very little cyclable. Despite this it offers excellent panoramic views. After about four kilometers down you will find a crossroads. You need to follow the one on the left that leads us to a solid lever that crosses Freser and follows a nice track that leads to the small village of Fustanyà and from there on the Queralbs road we return to Ribes de Freser.
